Republican Presidential Candidate Carly Fiorina lost her cool on national television after being called out for her lies about Planned Parenthood. The once potential top runner’s popularity has started dropping in the polls. As a result, it looks like Florin is trying to stage a comeback that is continuously backfiring on her.
Fiorina has resorted to lying about Planned Parenthood and how her lies could have influenced the attack on a Planned Parenthood office in Colorado. During an interview with CNN’s “New Day” host Chris Cuomo, Fiorina was asked about her stance on Planned Parenthood in relation to the recent shooting in Colorado. The shooting is believed to have been motivated by Planned Parenthood’s recent announcement that they would no loner be accepting compensation for “fetal tissue.” Nine, fraudulent videos depicting the “fetal tissues” have been released. These videos have left many shocked and disturbed.
While Fiorina aggressively claims that the videos were not edited, it has been reported by many research firms, including a firm that testified before Congress, that the videos were in fact heavily edited. While several republicans across the United States have launched investigations into Planned Parenthood, there has been no evidence of wrongdoing found on Planned Parenthood’s part. After being called out for her lies, Fiorina tried to divert attention away from her by talking about Sarah Palin, President Obama, and Hillary Clinton.
She questions Cuomo’s response to “tactics” used by President Obama and Hillary Clinton. Thereafter Cuomo directs the conversation back to Fiorina and how her lies could have influenced a fanatic to attack Planned Parenthood. Throughout the conversation, Fiorina continued to maintain her stance that the tapes were edited and that her lies had no affect on a right-wing over enthusiast who decided to retaliate against Planned Parenthood. In fact, instead of taking partial blame, Fiorina blamed the left wing.
