Being a Christian has never been easy, but those who have chosen to walk the path of persecution and maligning know that at the center of it all, their faith is what truly matters. Being in the public eye where everything you do is scrutinized would certainly make being an outspoken Christian even more difficult, but former Full House star Cameron Candice Bure has the perfect response to anyone who questions her about the reality of being a Christian in an industry as secular as Hollywood.
“It’s not [hard] for me. It’s who I am and I’m just being myself. And we all have different viewpoints and different opinions in life, I think that’s what makes the world go round,” she said in an interview with E!. “And so I appreciate all of those good conversations.”
Candice’s open approach to different world views and beliefs as well as her unfaltering dedication to her own relationship with God is refreshing in a society where celebrities and their fans will change their opinions and lifestyles as often as they do clothes.
The message to take away from Mrs. Candice Bure’s statement is that whatever we chose to believe, we are entitled to that and shouldn’t classify ourselves as anything other than who we are. We are more than our religious affiliations. Our beliefs should be a part of our identity and we should respect others and identify them as just another part of our crazy, interesting world.
