After Obama Makes The Prices Of Gas Cheaper, Foxnews Does Something That Will Bewilder You

The political Left is upset over Fox News and Fox Business asking aloud the question of whether cheap gas can be harmful to the economy. The very question has roiled the political Left with some saying the number one news channel for past twelve years has “jumped the shark”.

It might help to briefly cover the etymology of that phrase in order to understand how the Left has misused it. The phrase came from television’s number one sitcom during the late 1970s called “Happy Days”. The show had weekly viewership of 22 to 25 million per week. In one episode, one of the main characters called “Fonzie” is required to water ski over an open space of water containing a live shark. The episode was cheesy and is largely attributed with starting the show’s ratings decline. There is no indication whatsoever that the same thing has occurred to Fox News.

As for the question of gas prices vs the health of the economy, the Left believes that Fox News has an Anti-Obama agenda. They accuse both the news & business channels of having an unwritten rule about spinning any national story, good or bad, as being the fault of the president.

While it is true that Fox News covered the Benghazi cover up extensively just as the mainstream media ignored it, the story was newsworthy and relevant. With the mid-term elections only days away and many people expecting a GOP wave, the Left should lay the blame on the president’s policies as opposed to their so-called Fox News Obama bashing.
