A woman named Miranda Jackson has been using social media to spread the word about the disappearance of her 18-year-old niece, Ariel Jackson.
The young girl was reportedly last seen on Wednesday, March 16 at her mother’s house in Oxford, Miss. She was visiting her mother with her husband, Tyler Lamb, which made her parents, friends, and other family members quite nervous.
Before she went missing, Ariel was assaulted by Lamb. Her mother had gone out for a short period of time, and when she came home, she said that Ariel was no longer there.
Although Lamb was not at the home when Ariel’s mother left, her family believes that he took her. Because of their rough past, Ariel’s family has put police on high alert, and they have warned officials that they believe he left with her in order to avoid domestic abuse charges after he assaulted his wife the weekend before.
Miranda has shared numerous status updates to her Facebook page encouraging people to keep an eye out for her niece. She has posted several photos of the girl as well in the hope that someone will recognize her and bring her back safely.
To make matters worse, Miranda also says that Ariel is pregnant. Lamb’s family is from Florida, and Ariel’s family feels this could have been where he took her in an effort to hide his family.
Officers who are investigating the case are certain that Ariel’s disappearance is a welfare concern. They have encouraged anyone with any information to contact them as soon as possible.
