Amanda Crowe Freebird’s daughter died from cancer two years ago. Amanda tried hard to move on and embrace life, but she found it nearly impossible to do. She could not even be happy on her wedding day because she was heartbroken that her little girl could not be there.
Ashley Frantz is a good friend of Amanda’s. She is also a photographer. The two met at St. Jude Children’s Hospital, which was where Amanda’s daughter received treatment. Ashley was determined to make Amanda’s wedding day special. She took Amanda’s wedding photos. She also photoshopped a picture of Amanda and her daughter.
During the wedding ceremony, Amanda and her husband, Chip, decided to release butterflies. That was when something incredible happened. One of the butterflies landed on Amanda’s wedding dress. Ashley fought back tears as she captured the special moment on camera. She stated that she knew it was God’s way of showing that Amanda’s daughter, Azalee, was at the ceremony in spirit.
Ashley stated that one of the reasons she was so touched by the ceremony was because she has a five year-old daughter. She said that she loves her daughter dearly. She also said that she is going to hold and kiss her daughter more often.
