Dance is one of the world’s oldest and most liberating art forms – only a few moments twirling and shaking around can lift our spirits. Watching others dance is almost as wonderful as doing it ourselves, and one adorable little boy walked on stage with his walker and surprised everyone with his incredible dance moves.
After he was finished, the crowd was up on their feet and roaring with applause. Bruce Bachmann posted a video to Facebook of the sweet little boy, Brenden, dancing his heart out on stage when he was 11-years-old. The event was hosted by Young Audiences, an organization that trains, certifies and supports 130 artists to provide high-quality programing to 208,550 children each year.
The “Fly Group” performance allowed Brenden to come on stage, and having a walker didn’t slow him down one bit when the music kicked up the tempo. He started by clapping his hands, then moved on to kicking out his feet before breaking into a full-on freestyle performance that had the event’s on-stage director, Brenden’s peers and the whole audience cheering.
He even finished off with some impressive twirls! The look on his face as he moves captures exactly what dance is all about, and from the sound of the audience, its clear that his joy soared far beyond the stage.
