Heather Gooch is a first-time mom with a nine-month-old son, Aiden. As any parent knows, flying with a child can sometimes be tricky. Heather and her husband were no exception, though they learned this the hard way. The couple was nervous about flying for the first time with little Aiden, but as it turns out, the new parents had nothing to be concerned about.
The family was flying on Southwest Airlines, taking the trip from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to their home in Islip, New York. During the flight they noticed that Aiden took a liking to one of the flight attendants, Anissa. Every time Anissa passed by the family, Aiden would lock his eyes on her and follow where she went.
Sometime into the flight, Aiden got a little antsy like most small children do. Anissa noticed, and went above and beyond her call of duty, taking Aiden from the couple and walked him up and down the aisle so that Heather and her husband could enjoy their lunch without moving around. Heather was astounded by the kindness that Anissa showed to her family, which prompted her to write a post to Southwest Airlines on Facebook.
In her post, she told the airline how helpful and wonderful Anissa was on their flight. One of Anissa’s co-workers noticed the post and promptly emailed it to her. After reading the post, she responded to it on her Twitter account. She replied that it was her pleasure taking care of Aiden, that it made her day. She also went on to say that she would much rather listen to babies than adults whine on her flights!
