There are people who might not know how to spell large words or words that they don’t use very often. There are also people who aren’t sure how to spell the simple words that are used every day. A compilation of the most embarrassing real world spelling fails has been released, and some of the words on the list are surprising.
The thing that makes these mistakes odd is that on most phones and electronic devices is something called spell check. You can easily look up the word to see how it’s spelled, and there are programs that can catch the words that are misspelled. Some of the words that aren’t spelled right are important as they are placed on road signs and buildings. If they aren’t spelled the correct way, then it could make the meaning of the sign completely different than intended. One of the words that was misspelled in front of a building was school. It was spelled “Shcool”, and it was on the road right in front of the school building.

It’s odd that a school wouldn’t spell words right, but Lakewood High School spelled “Laeping” instead of leaping on the sign at the front of the school. Some people who hold signs in protest spell words the wrong way, such as “morans” instead of morons. Teachers also make mistakes while writing on the board for the class, such as “handwritting” instead of the proper spelling of handwriting. Some of misspelled words might be a mistake as people do tend to write quickly, but there are some that are simply not spelled the right way. The people who create the displays might want to take a few refresher courses in school instead of letting others think that those are the correct spellings.
