Danielle and Adam had tried to conceive a child for over a year before turning to medical treatments that could potentially boost their chances of conceiving. They spent a lot of money on fertility drugs and IUI, but they still were not able to conceive. The family had spent all of their money on fertility treatments and could not afford another one so they decided to leave it in God’s hands and try to conceive one last time
Amazingly, and to their great surprise, Adam and Danielle had a daughter named Blayke. And a few years later, they decided that they wanted to have more children so the couple had additional fertility treatments, and got WAY more than they’d bargained for: Adam and Danielle were pregnant with quintuplets. However, that was not the only surprise…
Danielle gave birth to five girls. The babies were the first all-girl quintuplets born in the United States and were also the first all-girl quintuplets born in the world since 1969. Not only did Danielle and Adam get the family that they always wanted, but they also ended up breaking a world record. Danielle delivered the babies at Women’s Hospital of Texas. Blayke is delighted to be a big sister.
Danielle had to be very cautious during her pregnancy, the more babies a woman is carrying, the more likely he or she is to miscarry. Doctors believe that the reason Danielle did not have any complications during her pregnancy was because she focused on staying so healthy throughout. Danielle followed a healthy diet, which consisted of around 4,500 calories per day.
Such a large pregnancy is highly unlikely, and this family definitely got a lot bigger a lot faster they’d intended – but they seem to be happy, and I’m sure that they are staying busy.
