Tiffany Cherry took her two month-old son Qavai to the clinic. The nurse informed Tiffany that her son was dehydrated and needed to go to the emergency room. She knew that she needed to take her son to the hospital, but she wanted to take her son to Boston Children’s Hospital.
She lived in Pennsylvania and was not satisfied with the care her son was getting there. She stated that everything inside of her told her to pack up and take her son to Boston Children’s hospital. Tiffany decided to go with her gut feeling and drive 4.5 hours to Boston Children’s Hospital.
Unfortunately, an Amber Alert was triggered when Tiffany left Pennsylvania. Even though she took her son to the emergency room as she was instructed, she is now fighting to get her kids back. Tiffany has stated that her children are her life, and she deserves to have them.
Tiffany lost a child in 2009. The child was stillborn. That is why she is so protective of her children and is determined to do anything she needs to do in order to get them back. She believes that the state of Pennsylvania jumped the gun by issuing an Amber alert.
Even though Tiffany is facing legal problems as the result of her trip, she stated that it was worth it. She stated that Boston Children’s Hospital most likely saved her child’s life. Tiffany has hired a lawyer. She stated that the state of Pennsylvania did not use the Amber Alert properly.
Tashi Cherry, who is Tiffany’s niece, was recently interviewed by the Boston Globe. She stated that her aunt is a phenomenal mother who really loves her children.
