Everyone is constantly looking for healthy foods that are quick and snackable; something to replace the Doritos and canned dip in the cupboard. Enter hummus dip, which has become super popular recently due to being both delicious and low in calories and fat.
But perhaps the best thing about hummus dip is that you can easily and cheaply make it at home. Forget about spending the extra bucks at the store and simply follow this simple recipe to make an unbelievable dip.
Supplies and Ingredients:
- Blender or Nutribullet
- 1 can of drained chickpeas
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp tahini
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Directions: Preparation is fairly simple.
First, combine all of the ingredients in the blender or Nutribullet except for the garnishes – paprika and parsley. Then blend the mix on low speed until it completely smooths. You’ll probably have to stop your blender periodically to push the ingredients down on top of one another.
At these points, you can add an additional tbsp of olive oil if the mix seems too dry. Once blended, scoop the hummus onto a serving plate and lightly sprinkle some parsley and paprika over top. Finally, you may serve and enjoy!
