She Ignored A Small Mark On Her Leg For Days. But What The Xray Revealed? How Is This Possible

Heather Charlebois of DeLand, Florida didn’t know what to think when she suddenly felt a sudden pain in her thigh. She was at a cafe, with her family, watching a 4th of July fireworks show. At first, she thought someone had hit or slapped her, but didn’t see anyone do anything.

When she went to the restroom to check her leg, she noticed she had a small puncture wound on her upper thigh. It wasn’t bleeding, so she didn’t think much of it and figured a firework had gone astray and hit her. Four days later, Heather went to the hospital at the urging of other people who said it looked like a bullet wound.

The doctors examined it and found a .38-caliber bullet lodged close to a major artery. Because the bullet was in such a precarious place, they were unable to remove it. The mother of four kids feels that she was very fortunate that the bullet missed killing her. Police in the area had not received any reports of gunfire that night.

However, they speculate that someone may have shot a bullet in the air some distance away and it may have come down in that location. Unfortunately for Heather, it came down where she happened to be.
