Obama Shows His Compassionate Side When He Hugs And Kisses Biden At Son’s Funeral

President Barack Obama demonstrated the depth of respect he has for the man who holds the position of Vice President of the United States by providing the eulogy for Joe Biden’s 46-year old son Beau on Saturday. Following his very emotional remarks, Obama embraced Vice President Biden, whose family has been shaken to its core by the too soon passing of Biden’s youngest son due to brain cancer.

In his elegant eulogy, Obama praised the Biden’s son for contributing more to people’s lives and to public service in his brief 46 years than most other people could accomplish if given 146. Obama said that Beau Biden was able to influence his work as attorney general for the state of Delaware, in addition to inspiring and helping his own family, which includes a wife and two children, because he possessed what Obama called “a mighty heart.”

Some of Obama’s eulogy for Beau Biden was directed expressly at the Vice President, when Obama looked squarely in Joe Biden’s direction and called his second in command his brother.

Obama also commended the elder Biden for having a big heart, a big soul, as well as big shoulders to help carry the entire Biden family through a very sorrowful time. Beau Biden was Joe Biden’s youngest son from his first marriage which ended tragically. Beau, along with his older brother, survived a car crash that killed Biden’s first wife and daughter just prior to Joe Biden’s assuming public office.
