Idaho Republicans Kill Child Support Collection Bill. Why? They Say It’s ‘Sharia Law’

There are some states that take child support seriously while others think that it’s just a bill that absent parents have to pay, letting them get behind on what they owe until they are threatened with jail. The Republicans of Idaho want to try to kill a bill involving child support because they believe that it is Sharia Law.

This just appears to be a reason to give Republicans more power. Some of them might think that they can do anything they want to with the bills that are written. Idaho is a state that has lagged behind others when it comes to child support and the federal guidelines.

There was a recent bill introduced that would get the state on track with the rest of the country, but since the Republicans didn’t like what it said, it was killed. Idaho would have been able to track those who are ordered to pay child support through employment venues, making sure that the parents paid what they owed.

Islamic law was brought up as a reason why the bill was killed. No where in the bill is there a mention of parents from other countries or anything of that nature. Now, Idaho could lose millions of dollars in aid from the government for child support.
