A mother posted a picture of her son and his black friend. Lydia Rosebush lives in Kentucky and thought that it would be a nice gesture for others to see that children of different races can play with each other and be friends. Jax wanted to be like his friend Reddy. He wanted so much to be like him that he wanted to have his head shaved.
Lydia told Jax that he needed to get his hair cut because it was getting a little wild. This is when he told his mother that he wanted his head shaved. Jax didn’t want his teacher to be able to tell him and Reddy apart when he went back to school on Monday.
Jax didn’t look at the color of the skin that he has and that his friend has as some adults tend to do on a daily basis. He wanted to be like his friend by having the same kind of hair, making his teacher think that they were alike even though they were clearly of different races.
This child shows others that race shouldn’t be an issue, and the picture that the mother shared has received supporting comments of unity and encouragement.
