Most people would be outraged to find out that a four-year-old girl married a man that was in his 30s. However, Abby is not your typical four-year-old girl. She has been battling acute leukemia, which is a condition that is common in children.
Even though the condition has her constantly feeling weak and tired, she finds a way to keep smiling through all of her pain.Abby formed a special bond with her nurse. He gave her daily injections. She loved the nurse and said that she wanted to marry him.
The nurse knew that this would put a smile on the little girl’s face, so he decided to play along with it. The two had a “wedding” in the hospital. Abby wore a dress, and the nurse wore a tuxedo. They also served cake.
The wedding helped the family forget about all of the problems that Abby was having. They were excited to see that their daughter was happy in spite of her illness. The nurse, whose name is Matt, presented Abby with a gift. It was a toy that had “Just Married” written on it. The nurse went out of his way to make sure that the patient was happy.
