See What Domestic Terror Threats Psychotic Utah Man Promised In Order To Start a Revolution

John Huggins, of Weber County, Utah has been arrested for planning to blow up several structures, including the Tremonton police station.

Huggins has extremist views and an extensive history in making homemade bombs. Along with the police station, Huggins was planning on blowing up several bridges and a Bible group. Huggins, who is 44 years old, was hoping the turmoil from his bombings would incite riots, create a citizen rise up against the government, and start a revolution.

Huggins’ terror plan was foiled this past week when he tried to sell his bomb making secrets to an undercover officer and was arrested. Authorities had received a tip back in February about Huggins and decided to investigate him.

Spiral notebooks that belong to Huggins have been captured by authorities. Huggins wrote notes in the notebooks that tracked the activities of Tremonton police officers. His notes also included the call signs of the officers. It appears Huggins was planning to use a pipe bomb type explosive to detonate and kill several officers.

Huggins is currently behind bars and has been charged with 1 count of possessing an unregistered explosive device. More federal charges could be added on as the investigation grows.
