It is hard to believe that people are already gearing up the political engine for the 2016 Presidential race in the Summer of 2014, but that is exactly what is happening. It seems that every year the unofficial beginning of the race comes earlier and earlier. Republicans are already seizing on the opportunity to try to take Hillary Clinton down a notch with some bummer stickers that some are calling disgusting.
The bummer sticker reads: Monica Lewinsky’s X-Boyfriend’s Wife For President. This of course is a reference to the sex scandal that former President Bill Clinton had while in office. Many say that this move is unfair as it ties Hillary into something that had nothing to do with her.
Political observers are noting that these moves seem to be coming as a reaction by the Republican Party to the early polling numbers that show Hillary Clinton destroying virtually all of the prospective Republican nominees for President in 2016. Of course it is still early, so early in fact that neither Hillary nor any of those top named Republican candidates has even officially announced their candidacy for President. It is all just speculation at this point.
The bummer stickers are not going to go away just because a candidate has not yet announced though. Expect to see at least a few of them floating around on the cars of those who have a strong disliking for the Clintons and Democrats in general. As of this moment, the official GOP offices in Virginia where the bumper stickers were found is saying that they did not authorize the creation of these bumper stickers, and they would like to find out who did.
