Trump Admits Russia Interfered with 2016 Election – Then Blames Obama For It

As news surfaced that the Obama Administration did indeed have knowledge of Russian hacking of the DNC during the 2016 presidential election, President Trump once again turned to twitter to attack his predecessor with a couple of sentence fragments. “Just out: The Obama Administration knew far in advance of November 8th about election meddling by Russia. Did nothing about it. WHY?”
First, Mr. President, may I ask why you insist on writing like a kindergartener?

Secondly, I’m not exactly sure why President Trump is asking the public or President Obama this question. If the goal behind the Russian hacking scheme was to undermine the election process, releasing this information to the public during the election would only further the success of the operation. By poising this question, It should only alarm Americans that our president needs this question answered for him.

The next day President Trump returned to twitter to write, “Since the Obama Administration was told way before the 2016 Election that the Russians were meddling, why no action? Focus on them, not T!” Well, Mr. President, What advice would you like to dispense to President Obama on what the appropriate action should have been? How would you have handled the situation? In case Donald Trump needs to be reminded, he is now the president of the United States. Whatever advice he has on how Barack Obama could have handled the situation in retrospect, he has the ability to apply that advice to punish Russia for tampering in our election.

The latest verbal attacks on our former president, by our current one, is not surprising in the least. The question is, what was President Trump trying to get out of it? Is President Trump just trying to defer attention from himself after acknowledging Russian interference in our election? In the spirit of the anti-intelligence presidential era, the only reasonable explanation is that it was nothing more than a failed attempt to cyber bully our nation’s 44th president.
