Sandy Hook Mom Shreds NBC’s Alex Jones Interview: ‘Evil doesn’t need another platform’

Nelba Marquez-Greene, who lost her daughter, Ana Grace, in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy angrily took Megyn Kelly to task for interviewing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who hosts a far-right radio program.

Marquez-Greene took to her Twitter account on Sunday and said by giving Jones a platform, Kelly was breaking the hearts and sullying the memories of the children killed at the school on December 14, 2012. She encouraged Kelly to “shine her light on the losses” instead of giving air time to an “evil” man who has often claimed Sandy Hook was a hoax.

Twenty-eight children died in the shooting perpetrated by Adam Lanza, who had come to the school after murdering his mother. Lanza used both a rifle and a handgun to kill the children and six adults before committing suicide. The incident created a renewed outcry against gun crime and a push for tougher legislation.

Jones, who also runs the Info Wars website, has said the Sandy Hook incident was done on purpose as a means of taking guns away from everyone. He claims that no children died, and everything was staged ahead of time, including two Facebook memorial pages that were created days prior to the crime.

Marquez-Greene said that Kelly has “the choice to do the right thing.” She added that cruelty gets too much television time while the fathers of the slain Sandy Hook children will go to the cemetery to mourn this Sunday.
