Snoop Dogg Surprises Jimmy Kimmel with a Special Donation at The Start Of His Interview

Let’s be honest, folks. When Snoop Dogg is a guest on late night television, then you expect the unexpected with a little naughty business throw in.

So when the famous rapper/actor from Long Beach recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and told the host that he had brought him a special gift, well, most of us thought it might be a big joint or some other suspect thing the rapper enjoys.

Snoop Dogg took out an envelope instead, and he gave it to Jimmy Kimmel in honor of Kimmel’s newborn son Billy. It was a very generous donation to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and it was a touching moment for both gentlemen, who are both parents.

Jimmy Kimmel’s baby boy was born with a congenital heart disease in April and underwent successful open heart surgery there. It was a difficult time for the always funny TV host and his wife, and Jimmy Kimmel had given an impassioned monologue recently, regarding the complicated health issues his son was facing.

The host had tears in his eyes during those opening remarks, and his voice cracked, saying that the Republican plan to repeal and replace President Obama’s Affordable Care Act was not the ethical way to go. Jimmy Kimmel made the case that all children have the right to have access to similar care, despite it being a “pre-existing condition.”

Snoop Dogg presented the check to the TV host, saying that he wanted it to aid some other family’s child in a similar crisis who might need financial help.

Jimmy Kimmel quipped that he thought Snoop Dogg had damaged his car and was handing him a check to cover the matter. He was so happy that the check was going to something so much more important.

The pair then went on to discuss Snoop Doog’s men’s fashion line which he was wearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The iconic rapper is collaborating with L.A. streetwear brand JOYRICH on a 33-piece capsule collection that will debut June 10 at Made LA.

Snoop Dogg also chatted with Jimmy Kimmel about his upcoming album, Neva Left.
