Michelle Obama Surprises D.C. Students – Discusses Their Struggles and Life Goals

Michelle Obama recently made a surprise visit to a group of high school students in Washington D.C. One of those students was so stunned that she had to leave the room to regain her composure. Michelle spoke to the students for over two hours. She talked about her life and all of the struggles that she has had to overcome.

Aliyah Williams is one of the students who was there when Mrs. Obama spoke, she said that Michelle was sweet and treated every student like her very own child. Carolina Adler Morales is Michelle’s spokesperson and she stated that Michelle had an emotional and heartfelt discussion with the students and that there were a lot of laughs and tears.

The Obamas are known for having had a very close relationship with the D.C. Public School System. The Trump Administration, however, has not been able to develop a relationship with the D.C. Public School System at all. Betsy Devos, the new educational secretary, was greeted by protesters when she tried to visit a school in D.C. She criticized the teachers in the area and defended herself on Twitter.

Michelle and Barack are still living in the Washington D.C. area. They are renting a house and will be in there until their youngest daughter, Sasha, graduates from high school.
