Kellyanne Conway is one of President Trump’s top advisers. She is also Trump’s former campaign manager. CNN is considering banning her because she has a history of lying to journalists. Kellyanne stated that Sean Spicer did not lie about Trump having the largest inauguration crowd in history. She stated that the claims were alternative facts.
She was also caught lying about what happened in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Two Iraqi nationals were caught trying to send weapons to fund al-Qaeda. She referred to the event as a massacre. However, there was not an actual massacre.
Kellyanne recently lied about appearing on CNN. She stated that she was invited to appear on CNN the next day. However, CNN quickly corrected her. They stated that they declined an invitation to attend the SOTU. Jay Rosen is a journalism professor. He stated that every news outlet should blacklist Kellyanne. He stated that there is no journalist value of inviting Kellyanne.
Joe Rutenberg works for the “Times.” He was asked the CNN executive about why they wanted to ban Kellyanne from their network. The executive stated that they had questions about her credibility. Twitter has also mocked Kellyanne for saying that lies were alternative facts.
