California Files A Bill That Requires Schools Tell The Truth About Trump’s Win

The state of California has proposed The Pravda Act of 2017, a piece of legislation that aims to allow for a classroom lesson plan that openly mentions the involvement of Russia in the 2016 election. The bill intends to make sure that students across the nation learn the truth about the election, before it can be swept under the rug and disregarded.

The fear is that President Trump and his elected officials will attempt to obscure the information pertaining to Russian involvement in order to make their campaign look better in the history books. It is often said that history is written by the victor, and the Pravda Act aims to make sure that this doesn’t happen in regards to Trump’s election.

By the end of the month, the bill will be introduced and reviewed by the state houses. This is an attempt by the Californian Assemblyman that introduced the bill, Marc Levine, to take a step toward answering the question of how Trump was elected to future generations.

Levine wants the bill to stand in defiance of Trump’s claims of a landslide victory and ensure that the students for generations to come are allowed to learn about the historic election as accurately as possible. Even if Trump won the election, The Pravda Act will ensure that the involvement of Russia will be forever recorded in history books and that Trump will not be allowed to “re-write” history.
