For the past two decades, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been one of the most popular and beloved celebrities in not only the U.S., but the world. He was one of the greatest professional wrestlers in history, and has starred in a slew of blockbusters, including “The Fast and the Furious” franchise and the comedy hit “Central Intelligence.” Johnson has also shown he is a celebrity who believes in giving back to others. He demonstrated this during a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon.
During the interview, Johnson said he was grateful to the military for allowing Americans to enjoy the freedom they have, and that he tries to help out veterans and active duty personnel whenever he can. He then asked Fallon to accompany him as he presented a veteran with a surprise. The pair made their way through the audience, but the vet was not sitting among them. Instead, Johnson and Fallon entered “The Tonight Show” control room where they met Karina, one of the program’s producers. Karina served in the Army and met her husband Todd, an Air Force master sergeant, while the two were deployed in Iraq. Todd has been serving overseas for over a year and a half.
As Johnson talked with Karina, Todd entered the control room and walked up behind her. Johnson told her to turn around, and it resulted in an emotional reunion between husband and wife.
