Ruth Bader Ginsburg Signals Dissent of Trump With One Simple Fashion Statement

As one of the most recognizable members of the Supreme Court, Ruth Bader Ginsberg has never been one to hesitate about giving an opinion. Perhaps it should come as no surprise that the liberal-leaning judge has been no fan of the Trump campaign. In fact, in a move that surprised many, Ginsberg made her feelings about the man be known publicly. Her position does not seem to have altered in the wake of the events of November 8.

On the day after the election, the woman known to fans as “The Notorious RBG” showed up to work in her dissenting jabot, a necklace-like accessory that she usually only wears when delivering a dissenting opinion to the court.

However, the court wasn’t making any decisions on that Wednesday, so Ginsberg’s choice of attire could be seen as a nod towards a dissenting opinion of the electoral votes picked up by former reality star Donald Trump.

Even when Ginsberg was discussing her fashion decision with an MSNBC reporter, she made a sly comment about the meaning of a dissenting collar. With a Supreme Court seat still needing to be filled after the Senate’s refusal to consider President Barack Obama’s pick, it seems as though Ginsberg may have many more dissenting days ahead of her.
