Teacher Fired After Racist Rant About Michelle Obama Posted To Facebook

Jane Wood Allen, who is a former teacher at an elementary school in Georgia, was fired after she made racist comments on her Facebook page. She made racist remarks about Michelle Obama, Hispanics and Muslims.

Forsyth County Schools is the district that Jane worked for. They released a statement saying that Jane no longer works for the district. They also stated that discrimination and racism is not tolerated by their school district.

This is not the first time that a Forsyth County Schools employee has been caught making racist comments. A principal was terminated after he made racist comments about Muslims. The district gave him his job back after he made a public apology. However, Jane, who has worked for the school district since 1989, will not get her job back.

Jane’s posts outraged parents whose children went to a school in the district. They started a Facebook petition to get her fired. Most people believe that someone should be able to post whatever they want on their personal Facebook account. However, people should not be allowed to post things that reflect poorly on their students or institution. People cannot make racist and derogatory comments without putting their jobs in jeopardy.
