The second frame was Obama walking through the rain while his wife, Michelle, stood under an umbrella in the background. The simple five-word caption was “every picture tells a story.”
The Trump photo was taken on August 24, 2016, in Tampa, Florida, as he walked with Pam Bondi, the Florida attorney general. The Obama photo was taken at Andrews Air Force Base on April 15, 2013, right after the Boston Marathon bombing.
Trump cares only for his own interests by letting Bondi get wet, while Obama is willing to walk in the rain after ensuring safety and protection for others.
Political experts expressed concern the photo would generate more of the polarized discussion that has surrounded the current election cycle for the last year. That seemed to be case as the photo was shared over 8,200 times and gathered 10,000 likes, although some Twitter users responded with irreverent humor.
