A woman was driving one day when she saw a large group of geese attempting to cross a busy road. The cars kept speeding by, and the geese could not get off the curb. The woman realized the situation would not end well, and she decided to stop and help.
After turning on the emergency flashers, she got out of the car and assisted the goose family, which consisted of nine goslings and two adult mates, to safely cross the road. Once there, the baby geese struggled to climb up on the curb but were just too small to make it.
Although traffic was backing up, the woman picked up each of the goslings and placed them on the sidewalk until the entire family was reunited. Despite this act of heroism, the mother goose became agitated at a human touching her offspring and nipped the brave woman several times.
The woman only suffered minor injuries for her efforts, and said she would do the same thing again. She added there was no way she could have kept on driving after seeing the terrible predicament the geese were in, and she forgives the mother goose for nipping because that was just her nature.
