Sean Penn Brilliantly Sums Up Trump’s Campaign In Just 2 Sentences

With more and more public figures and celebrities throwing their support behind one Presidential candidate or another, this election season is quickly starting to heat up.

The most recent of these endorsements is Sean Penn, who, unsurprisingly, announced his support for Democratic front runner and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton this week. While endorsing Mrs. Clinton, Penn also made resounding endorsement against the the presumed Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Trump, who is expected to face off against Clinton in the general election, has ruffled the feathers of politicians and celebrities alike with his aggressive and argumentative style of politics. None so much as Sean Penn, it seems, who delivered astute and quite caustic remarks about the real estate tycoon. In an interview, which was published in the Financial Times Penn on Saturday May 14, stated that,

“It doesn’t matter what Trump says because all he is doing is selling. It’s masturbatory populism. It’s really an opportunity for one man to have a group celebration of his own narcissism.”

These harsh remarks are being praised by Democrats who feel that Penn was able to sum up Mr. Trump’s campaign in a succinct, if not scathing, two sentences.
