Some people find themselves in the middle of truly unusual circumstances. Wei was at work one day when she walked outdoors. Wei is a resident of Xianyang City in Shaanxi province, China. She immediately spotted a sizable storage container that was made out of plastic. Wei at first mistakenly thought that the container was abandoned garbage, nothing more and nothing less. She couldn’t have been more wrong, however. She suddenly realized that there was a bit of noise inside of the container. She couldn’t believe her ears. When she went to investigate the matter further, she discovered that a newborn baby was there. The wee girl was covered in blankets. She was also accompanied by a little milk powder. The person who put the baby inside of the container obviously tried to give her some relaxation and ease.
People who were walking by quickly surrounded the infant. Many people attempted to protect her from the strong rays of the sun. Babies have extremely delicate skin. Some other people, however, left to go get her some water to drink. She cried nonstop and the people who were around her assumed that that was due to intense hunger. Babies need to be fed extremely frequently, after all.
A young lady, however, decided that it was time to take a different form of action. She emerged from the large mass of people by the baby and did something that genuinely astonished everyone who was watching. She held the baby and pulled up her top. She started to breastfeed the little one who clearly needed prompt assistance. The baby immediately ceased all of the crying. The lady carried the baby up until the time local child welfare professionals showed up.
It’s truly amazing to see what people will do when other people are in need. It’s hard for anyone to deny how tough it is to see a helpless child, especially when that child is a motherless baby. That’s why it can really warm the heart to see what people will do when they realize that others need their assistance. Small actions can often mean so much to other people. This mother in China had no obligation to care for this sweet and helpless baby. She had the desire to help the baby anyway, however, and that’s precisely what says so much about her.
There are many mothers around the world who for whatever reason can’t look after their babies properly. They may lack the financial means. They may be too young. They may be facing disapproval from their family members. They may not have partners to help them rear their babies. There are so many things that can make women feel like they have no option but to give their children up. People who reside in the United States, however, are immensely fortunate. That’s because the United States has “Safe Haven” laws that are designed to assist mothers who are troubled. These laws enable women to surrender their babies inside of boxes. They don’t have to worry about any questions from others, either. Many women certainly find it extremely difficult to talk about having to say goodbye to their precious babies. Safe Haven laws have been established to defend mothers who are in tricky and complicated places in life. They permit mothers to surrender their babies without having to be concerned about legal consequences of any sort. These laws are also beneficial for the innocent children who are involved. They sometimes save these children from neglect and death. Safe Haven laws have been a great thing for many children from all around the United States.
