The bond that exists between man and beast is one of the most precious and sacred ties that exist on earth. In the modern world, we can sometimes shut ourselves out from the rest of the creatures that exist on this giant planet, but those of us who have pets understand the importance of connecting with other creatures. On the other side of the equation, you have people who take this bond very seriously, and they even go one step further and make serving animals their passion and their purpose.

You have a lot of heroic veterinarian doctors who see the intrinsic value in saving the lives of animals. One doctor, in particular, even performs on the wild, injured animals that he meets. In fact, he has performed miracles on pets who were otherwise paralyzed. Dr. Evan Antin, a man who has dedicated his life to helping and understanding the endangered and most exotic animals, has gone somewhat viral on the Internet, but it has been for a more curious reason than what you might expect.

Dr. Evan Antin works at a California-based veterinarian clinic, and he has saved many exotic animals in the process. Most locals in the area know Antin as your all-around animal expert. What makes his story different, however, is that People magazine labeled him as the “Sexiest Beast Charmer” in the previous year. A devilishly handsome 31-year-old vet, Dr. Evan Antin boasts an impressive resume. For example, he spent several years traveling between the six continents for treating exotic animals, and he also has a doctorate in veterinary sciences from Colorado State University. After that, Antin settled at the Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital that is located in Thousand Oaks, California. Here, he practices exotic medicine.

When WABC asked Antin about his new fame, he responded how he thought it was pretty funny. He had always wanted to be the sexiest something, and since being a veterinarian is his passion, he is glad that it relates to his work. Since the magazine posted the article, Dr. Evan Antin says that he has been teased from colleagues and some of the patients have taken note since the magazine published the article.

Saving the lives of animals means everything to Dr. Evan Antin. In particular, he loves helping snakes, but as a child, they used to scare him enough that he avoided them. Nevertheless, Antin has always been somewhat fascinated by the creatures, and one of the reasons for that is because they remind him of a living dinosaur. To Antin, there is nothing in the world more sacred than the friendship that humans and animals share, and he has called it one of the most special friendships in the world. Ever since childhood, Antin has always searched for newer and more exotic species because he loves the unusual, and throughout childhood, Antin sought out the native wildlife, such as turtles, insects and snakes.

Under the current circumstances, Dr. Evan lives with his cat named Willy, a dog called Henry, his savannah monitor lizard and a few tropical fish. Dr. Evan is also engaged to his soon-to-be wife, and he lifts weights, snowboards and hikes in his spare time. It may come as no surprise, but Antin does modeling on the side. Because of his travels, Dr. Evan has a comprehensive knowledge about the various ecosystems of the world. He has spent extensive time interacting with the animals of Southeast Asia, North America, Africa, Australia and Central America. The great thing about this man is how he lives and breathes his passion every day helping to save the local animals.
