Parenting can be tough at times, and some parents are great at handling it, but some are not exactly cut out for the responsibility. Jennifer Vargas, a 34-year-old mother from San Antonio, couldn’t take the pressure of parenting, and it got so bad that she nearly ripped off her son’s genitals. Recently, soon after she was arrested for her actions, she learned her fate.
According to reports, the woman’s son had a four inch laceration on his genitals after his mother grabbed them and pulled. Once Vargas noticed what had happened, rather than taking her son to the emergency room, she attempted to fix the problem herself. She put rubbing alcohol on the boy’s testicles and the tried to glue the wound back together with superglue.
When the boy’s father, who serves in the Army, returned home, he noticed that his son was crying in his room with bloody tissues in his underwear. The father put the pieces together and suddenly realized what happened. He took the boy to the emergency room right away, where he was able to get the treatment he needed.
The boy’s injuries had to be surgically fixed, and Vargas was charged with assault after officials learned what had happened. She plead guilty to the charges and was sentenced to two years behind bars followed by a five year probationary, supervised release. Vargas said that he regrets what she did to her son, and surprisingly, she added that she loves her children and they are extremely important to her.
