They Said Taking this Quiz Can Guess Your Age. Wow, It Was Right! Creepy! Now You Try…

It was one of the biggest online controversies in recent memory. Surprisingly, it had nothing to do with politics or the Kardashians. No, this controversy was all about the color of a dress. When it was posted online, some people were convinced that The Dress, as it came to be known, was white and gold. On the other hand, there was an equally vociferous group making a vehement claim that the dress was blue and black. Eventually, it was confirmed that the dress was, in fact, blue and black.

However, the whole saga left many people with questions about how this had happened. How was it possible for one group of people to perceive the colors as white and gold while others saw a completely different color combination? Eventually, members of the scientific community started calling in to NPR and other news organizations in order to explain the phenomenon. It turned out that The Dress just pointed out ways in which the communication between our eyes and brains can differ; it was a matter of perception.

There are a lot of factors that can affect this perception, and one of them happens to be age. For instance, when it came to The Dress, people who were older were more likely to perceive the colors as white and gold. Although this one incident put a spotlight on a particular photograph, it does highlight the fact that our perception of colors does change over the years. But how much does it change?

A simple quiz may be able to guess your age based upon your color perception.
