Michelle Obama’s Latest Move For Veterans Will Have You Wishing She Ran For POTUS In 2016

On Wednesday, Michelle Obama, the First Lady of the United States addressed and issue that she and Mrs. Biden have been trying to improve since President Obama took office.

She announced that there will be a federal website aimed to help veterans returning home from service find civilian careers. Mrs. Obama and Mrs. Biden have created a website that will help veterans reach the goals they have for themselves.

Unemployment among veterans is higher than the rate among civilians. The reason for this high is because it is often hard for veterans to transition into the civilian world.

However, ebenefits.va.gov will help with this transition. For example, a veteran who just returned from the middle east may not know what skills they posses that may be valuable to a company. Many veterans do not know that the leadership skills and discipline they receive in the military is valued by employers. The website that First Lady Michelle Obama and Mrs. Biden have created will veterans realize these skills are useful.

The website allows veterans and their spouses to upload resumes and try to get employed by different companies. This site is useful for employers as well. The employers can search for veterans that posses the skill set that the company is in need of.
