I Gave Stewart A Standing Ovation After Seeing How He Bashed Foxnews Over Their Ferguson Coverage

Political satirist Jon Stewart of the Comedy Central program “Daily Show” admitted that the media coverage of the Ferguson, Missouri, is promoting a social agenda that has at its foundation the premise that racism is real, whites are treated differently (better) than blacks, and the Black community faces struggles day to day from white oppression.

In his view, failure to acknowledge that and merely cover the ongoing events in Ferguson on their own merits or from an objective standpoint is irresponsible because it ignores the day-to-day realities of Blacks across the nation.

For this reason, Stewart said that the Fox Network has no idea how to discuss the incidents in Missouri describing their lack of understanding with an expletive that rhymes with the word “duckling”. It is astounding that a comedian lecture a news network that their reporting of the facts on the ground must be framed within a Left wing viewpoint of an unjust racist nation in order to be deemed as “responsible”.

He also upbraided the network for pointing out the indifference of the Black community and mainstream media over black-on-black violence in major US inner cities. He said that the claim by Fox News is groundless.

However, the media cannot produce evidence of local Black churches being packed with people from the Black community enraged at black-on-black violence. Nor can they cite the African-American community rioting over the latest gang killings. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson do not fly out to the south side of Chicago after dozens of blacks get killed over the weekend in shooting incidences. Such behavior is reserved for incidences such as Ferguson where the media attention and agenda is decidedly favorable to them.
