In a strange turn of events, a twenty-four year old mother by the name of Dionne Baxter was badly burned while charging her iPhone.
The incident happened as the result of her accidentally lying down on her phone while it charged as she slept. The phone was hot enough to for her to receive a five inch burn to her left breast. She stated that the phone was so hot that she could not touch it after she woke up badly burned.
These events seem to becoming more common as more persons own powerful phones that produce large amounts of heat. An 18 year old was burnt as the result of falling asleep with his phone on his arm, and fourteen year old received burns after her phone caught on fire while it was in her back pocket.
The twenty-four year old mother was burnt bad enough to scar her for the rest of her life.
She also stated that she does not know if she will be able to breast feed in the event that she ever happens to have another child. The mother stated that she is thinking about suing the manufacturer of the phone, but that she has yet to contact a lawyer.
