Hillary Just Announced Her Official Run For President In 2016 And Republicans Are Scared Sh*tless

Former First Lady, Senator, and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton announced her second run for the White House this Sunday, April 12, 2015. With a CBS News poll indicating that 81% of Democrats would possibly be potential voters for Clinton, she is well positioned as the front-runner for the Democratic nomination, with few if any other serious potential contenders in the race. She chose to announce her candidacy through a video filled with testimonials of a diverse array of people of differing genders, races, and sexual orientations all announcing that they were getting ready to start something new.

At the end of the video, Hillary said, “I’m getting ready to do something too. I’m running for president.” Though it seems at this stage of the race that Mrs. Clinton will not face much opposition among Democrats, her road to the White House is not without challenges.

She will need to overcome some recent controversies regarding her private email use during her time as Secretary of State as well as her family foundation’s acceptance of questionable foreign donations. Her campaign chairman John Podesta anticipates that such controversies will fade away due to the excitement of her official campaign announcement. At least that is what he wants to convince donors to believe.

It is estimated that Mrs. Clinton’s campaign hopes to raise $2.5 billion in the coming months. Whether Mrs. Clinton will be able to raise enough to combat whoever emerges as the Republican front-runner remains to be seen
