Patrick’s life has been anything but easy in his short time here on Earth. Treated like a piece of trash rather than a living, breathing, beautiful dog; Patrick’s recoverable has been remarkable, and nothing short of a miracle.
It is not certain for how long Patrick endured the abuse, but the extent of the abuse was horrific.
He was abused, starved and tied to a railing for a least a week. At some point the emaciated dog was placed in a trash bag and stuffed in the garbage chute for a routine pickup. Patrick was still living and breathing, fighting for survival.
Luckily as the garbage was being picked up, someone became aware of the movement in the trash. The discovery of Patrick prompted a rescue and he was brought to a shelter. Days, weeks and months of recovery have taken place.
Patrick was able to put on a healthy amount of weight as well as gain back trust for humans. Patrick is now a healthy dog, who is happy with his new lease on life. It is nothing short of a miracle that on the brink of death, this beautiful animal was able to overcome all odds and have a new chance at a brand new life.
