According to Senate Democrat Dick Durbin a leader of the Republican party told Obama “ I cannot even stand to look at you”.
He said this came during negotiations over the government shutdown.
Durbin went to social media to express his feelings and said:
“Many Republicans searching for something to say in defense of the disastrous shutdown strategy will say President Obama just doesn’t try hard enough to communicate with Republicans,” he wrote. “What are the chances of an honest conversation with someone who has just said something so disrespectful?”
When the Republican party was asked to comment they decided not to.
Is this typical GOP behavior? Not to own up to their own actions?
