EMT Refuses To Perform CPR On A Baby And It Dies. Their Excuse Makes Me Sick To The Core

When an EMT receives a call for help, the person normally does everything possible to offer the help needed. An 8-month-old baby was in need of medical attention because of a respiratory issue. When the EMT arrived on the scene, he refused to help, and the reason has left several people in shock and angry.

As the EMT surveyed the situation, he made comments to the dispatcher that he wasn’t going to be performing CPR for 10 minutes. He also made statements about knowing how families like that would get.

The family was African American. Regardless of the color of the skin, the EMT should have provided the help needed for a small baby as it could have been the only assistance she received.

Unfortunately, the actions of the EMT did cost the baby her life. After the EMT refused to provide care, she was placed on probation. However, after examining the details of the incident, she was terminated from her job.

The supervisor had ordered the EMT to perform assistance even though it could take several minutes. The EMT even parked a street over and did not want to go to the home. Information was given to the EMT about the baby’s condition, and she still didn’t do anything.
