Colbert Annihilates Donald Trump’s Claim He Can Predict The Future: Meet ‘NostraDonald’

The absurdities and eccentricities of presidential candidate Donald Trump have been the source of excessive media and public attention. While a few Republicans may continue to support him, his ridiculous qualities have made him the laughingstock of the GOP’s presidential potentials. In addition to his generally racist and sexist statements which have drawn a lot of criticism, his leadership qualities are being questioned severely – and for good reason. Trump’s ideas and comments make him appear to be a spoiled man who lost touch with reality long ago.

A recent episode of Stephen Colbert’s show has taken advantage of Trump’s latest crazy saying to make a comedic routine. Trump has recently been saying that he is able to accurately predict the future. However, all of Trump’s predictions are merely claims to have known about past events that everyone already knows about. Hindsight is no special ability. Everyone can do it.

For example, Trump said that he predicted Osama Bin Laden would attack America a year before the attacks on September 11. According to Colbert, basically everyone knew that bin Laden would try to harm the United States somehow, since he had just finished bombing the USS Cole. Colbert states:

“That’s spooky. It’s like Trump has some kind of 5th sense that lets him see what’s in newspapers and on TVs.”

Colbert even coined a new nickname for Trump, “Nostradonald,” based on the 16th century fortuneteller, Nostradamus, who was known for some rather crazy prophecies. Colbert then creates a hilarious parody called “The All-Seeing Nostradonalad.” In this sketch, he reads movie times from a newspaper and then predicts them as if making a psychic claim.
